BB-310086 - Berlebach Three Angle (Variable) Spreader 37cm About This Product With this adjustable spreader lock, you can safely lock the spread of your tripod legs at three fixed angles (approx. 24, 32° and 40°). The adjustable feature allows you to keep the same angle between the legs in any of the three available settings while also adjusting the leg length to account for variation in the surface that the tripod is being set on. Swiveling the legs inwards is also prevented. The spreader is operated from the bottom. A slight pressure on the lock button while pulling (increasing the angle) or pressing (reducing the angle / transport position) on the tripod leg allows you to set different angle positions. Recommended accessories

Consider these additions to complete your PLANET tripod setup:

Double cable clamps — Adds a second locking mechanism per leg for increased rigidity and load capacity. Recommended for heavier mounts.
Rubber feet — Replacement feet for indoor use on hard floors. The standard stainless steel spikes are ideal for outdoor terrain.
Tripod case — Padded carrying case sized for the PLANET (110 cm). Protects the wood finish during transport.
Ground-protecting devices — Pull-over caps for the steel spikes to protect indoor flooring.
Three-angle spreader — Adjustable leg angle spreader for additional flexibility on uneven terrain (replaces standard spread stopper).

ZWO AM5 compatibility note

When using the PLANET with the ZWO AM5, Berlebach recommends adding base plate #5006180. This plate includes a collar and cutouts that provide better anti-twist stability and additional clearance for the AM5's azimuth adjustment knobs. If using the ZWO PE200 column extension, the plate at the bottom must be unscrewed and remounted on the mount directly.
