The 10Micron AZ4000HPS is the flagship of the AZ-HPS series — a professional-grade altazimuth research mount based on the mechanics of the GM4000HPS II, carrying up to 150 kg (330 lbs) of instrument payload with 10Micron's precision absolute encoders and sub-arcsecond tracking. Built for institutional observatories, research facilities, and demanding multi-telescope programs, the AZ4000HPS can be configured for simultaneous dual-telescope operation at 150 kg + 100 kg (330 + 220 lbs).

Deep Space Products is the exclusive certified 10Micron service and support provider in the United States. A 30% deposit is required at order placement; the balance and shipping are due before shipment. A DSP Remote hosting discount is available for mounts installed at our Bortle 1 facility in southwest New Mexico. Note: – The GM1000 HPS Mount needs the #10M1105 Adapter in order to mantain the corret encoder’s position references – All the other mounts require a #10M2085 or #10M2185 3″ Losmandy clamping plate.

About This Product
The GM4000 mandatory shipping kit (also suitable for the AZ4000 HPS) is composed of the GM4000 105 x 85 x 65 cm shipping wooden pallet-box (#10M4100)and the pier adapter (#10M4090). Both are necessary items when the mount will be shipped. Shipping charges will be calculated individually for each destination and will be billed separately. The included pier adapter (#10M4090) will be needed later when mounting the GM 4000 onto a pier. This strong plate of solid steel is mandatory not only to secure the mount on the pallet during transport but also later to translate the full loading capacity of the Mount onto the pier.

The GM4000 and AZ4000 mounts are available in a special version for very low temperature operations. This option allows the Mount to operate until -30°C (-22° F) and features the following special modifications: - Special low-temperature lubricants certified until -60°C or lower - Special copper wiring, silicone sheathed - Electronic components certified for temperatures down to -40°C - Endurance tested at low temperatures in our laboratory All 10Micron mounts feature special systems in their mechanics in order to compensate thermal variations. This option is intended for brand new mounts to be ordered; contact us for already delivered mounts.
