The Takahashi Extender 1.7XR converts the FOA-60 telescope to the FOA-60Q, resulting in a final focal length of 901 mm. When using this extender, the Strehl ratio of the telescope is over 99% across almost the entire visible spectrum. In spite of the small aperture of the telescope, magnifications of up to 300 times are possible while maintaining a clear image.

The 0.93X flattener for the FOA-60 telescope provides a nearly flat (10 micron) image across the entire image circle. The flatter reduces the focal length of the telescope to about 495 mm, making it an f/8.2 instrument.

The Takahashi 68S-GT tube holder is a clam shell tubeholder for use with the FOA-60 and FOA-60Q telescopes. This is a "GT" style tube holder that allows for the attachment of a guide telescope.
